Inevitable end
A finger so tender, caressing my hair
Those pacific shimmering eyes,
So vulnerable a heart wreathed with hope,
That elating yet lonely smile.
Creeping old age, a satiated smile
The wan yet alluring look,
I saw those trembling hands
Assembling shed leaves of childhood.
Transience unveiled
Its silhouette beckoning demise,
You lay contemplating a life beyond
As a wilting heart turned sterile.
Time blazed like valour
You vanished as dew,
Your fading fragrance
Bidding adieu.
"ql-align-center">
It hid itself in me
I had to hide it.
"Come behind me!", I pleaded.
It slithered and coiled beside me.
I pleaded again, "Hide! Hide behind me!",
It lazily gazed at me, smiled coyly.
I looked around, "they shouldn't see it", I decided.
I ran to it turned and held its neck,
But, I choked!
"No! No! i I need to hide it !",
I searched for a place to hide it,
Searched everywhere but within me.
It grew larger and larger,
Grew larger than me.
The more I feared it,
The tighter it draped and gripped me.
I screamed, at it
Scratching, kicking it.
It was pleased; as I had bruised me.
I wept, "they will see it now".
Helpless, I resigned.
I caressed it, I caressed me.
It shrank, it groaned.
Defeated in victory,
It slithered through inside me,
Quietly, stealthily.
I smiled at it.
I smiled at me.
It hid itself,
Hid itself in me.
It was the chaos,
And the chaos was me.
