PLEASURE AND PAIN
PLEASURE AND PAIN
Human wants pleasure and not pain,
Pleasure is by four pursuits of human,
ARTHA, money;
KAMA, desire;
DHARMA, right path &
PRASANSA, reputation.
For money and Kamana,
Wars are fought between man and human,
Exploitation is made by a man on another man,
There are violations of rights,
For protection of rights there are fights,
It complicates the life,
Making a unbearable life,
For pleasure,
A human departs from other two pursuits,
i.e. DHARMA, right path
&
PRASANSA,
That is reputation.
Human has life,
Giving and receiving pleasure is part of life,
It is a need and an ecstasy.
Pleasure is like a relationship between flowers and the bees,
Flowers get pain out of such pain,
For bees, pleasure is a gain,
So pain and pleasure are two sides of the same coin,
And you can't separate one sidefrom other of the coin,
It has often been observed,
From painful situations pleasure is yield,
Pity and fear can transmute into a life, delightful,
Emotional state, immensely enjoyable,
I give another example,
Just like,
The water flowing from junle to rivers
Comes and goes – love is that fever.
Love is that feeling which when reigns
Kills like water silently
Having no independent existence,
Showing no signs,
Poetry enjoys ability to liberate emotional situation,
From bondage of ego arising emotiona,
However tragic it may be and
Disconcerting they may be,
Pain turns out to be pleasurable,
Largely on a harmonization of opposites,
Using Phrases like
“The brilliant darkness of a hidden silence”,
“Dazzling obscurity”
“Whispering silence”,
“Teeming desert” or
“Undivided division and differentiated unity”.
So it is said pain and pleasure are both sides of a coin,
As a lover says to beloved in one tone,
If I would not have met you,
I wouldn’t have feeling of the pain,
Of losing your sweet and beautiful love;
As I now feel like an insane,
If I’d never met you,
I wouldn’t know the pleasure
Of ecstasy’s warm gifts and memories to treasure.
