Belief, Untouchable, Fatal

Belief, Untouchable, Fatal

Person, a bit too confident in his own charm and influence,

To climb to the top power ladder, he may manage.

Securing the title of dictator in the run of his life,

In the wrong way, he may have rubbed a lot of people.

In his optimism, he may think he could handle all the haters,

He may believe his political and public support is somewhat untouchable.

He couldn’t fathom that a person would turn against him,

Such a belief would prove fatal in his own optimism.

Gives pardon to enemies thinking they’d be loyal to him after spare,

The trust of untouchability leads him to make risky political maneuvers.

This fact is evidenced in Caesar's relationship with Brutus,

Caesar trusted him deeply, and despite the multiple warnings.

Brutus was getting cozy with the conspirators and Caesar waved it off,

Knives came out in the Senate, Caesar’s shock was immortalized by his final words, “Et tu, Brute?”—“Even you, Brutus?”.
