Awake and asleep
He is desperate to hear his heart beep
He fears that If it stops
He will lose all his dreams.

Teases the heart
Sometimes refusing to start
In panic when he clutches his heart
It seems to say

In arrogance taxes his heart
It starts pounding and beating hard
Threatening him

Grows old
Unable to keep the pace
It gets angry, it flares up

That once palpitated
But now has stopped.
Seeing people mourn, emits a soft groan
“Why do these people cry?
When all of them one day will die?”
