One Fine Day

One Fine Day

All of a sudden one day

We would stop.

Glancing back we would see the road stretching long,

Meandering till it faded away in the distance.

And hanging on the trees

Moments.

Missed moments.

When sightless we journeyed.

Emotions drooping on branches, which we forgot to feel.

Words lying trampled in the path, spoken or unheard.

Hearts beating in the vicinity, which we didn't hear.

All of a sudden one day, we'll ask...

Can we do this route again?
