Her smile never faltered. 

Gentle doe eyes exuded kindness.

Eagerly serving delectable dishes,

Shining the silver,

Placing magnolias on the center table.

The epitome of poise and grace.

Receiving all with open arms,

Projecting contentment and bliss. 

Lights out, she turned her face

Into the pillow.

Soon, it was dawn.

The damp pillow left behind,

She resumed her chores.
