Odyssey Of Solitude
Odyssey Of Solitude
The day my odyssey began,
I wore a happy face.
Oblivious that this journey
Would be garnished with solitude.
Afar from my refuge,
Betwixt the eerie fiends.
I scoured for my blanket
And my heart shattered.
Numerous thoughts trapped
In the hollows of my soul.
Like an isolated Yardbird,
Awaiting the sweet freedom.
Every unfolding twilight
Had the same tale.
Tears dampened my cheeks
And I felt frail.
On one odd night,
I aroused having kittens.
Harkened a soft sound
Afoot towards me.
Enlightened little soul,
With blond hair, crystal eyes.
“Hold no grief my child”.
It fondled me gently.
That night it evoked me.
My dim soul deep into slumber,
Ushered out with zeal.
For that was the day,
I found a concealed life;
Where solitude was never to return.
