Ode to The Sun
Ode to The Sun
You are at a light-year distance,
Yet my auxin works perfectly:
I turn towards your shine.
You shed the light on the whole world;
Hardly even notice me react,
Yet, I don't feel the same
With all that shines at me;
In my ever-changing mortal morbidity,
You are the only constant and infinity,
And my routine joy to blossom...
Sometimes, short-living clouds hide you:
You never notice how I droop.
The clouds might be proud of physical intimacy;
My love for you doesn't fit into mortality...
Though I die I leave a fragment
To bloom to smile at your shine...
Lovingly, only yours Sunflower!
