The Ocean!

Swishing around my legs, 

going through my toes, 

my feet sinking in the sand, 

the gulls soaring in the air! 

Seaweed lying on the shore, 

the crabs peeking out of tiny holes! 

No one but me staring out to Thee, 

Oh! What a state of tranquility!

Thy singing thine heart content, 

the Blue sky complimenting the rocky cove, 

I step back and see how idyllic is Thee!

Thy waters moving feral by the bay, 

my heart is thine! Thy beauty is peerless! 

Thy glistening sparkle makes me defenceless!

The wind grows fierce and 

the sky thriving restless, but thy still calm, 

swaying towards my wet palm! 

The moon shining its entire might, 

Thy dance giving me a sight that 

equities cannot buy!

Thy so sweet , yet thine waters so saline!

The dusk seizing the night, 

My eyes closing in retort to thine Lullaby!

Goodbye! Oh! Goodbye darling waters! 

Parting with some so gorgeous is 

such a sweet sorrow! 

I shall leave thy a bit of seclusion, 

off I go until morrow!
