Happens To Me On Sleepless Nights
Happens To Me On Sleepless Nights
When sleepless nights imbrue my sleepless sight
My mind gets deported to some future dubious kingdom,
I ponder in vain, whether shall I writhe in pain
Or dwell in sterling Eden of my freedom?
When my languid body for day's toil, is stolen of honey dreams
I delve within to dredge some long-lost dulcet tunes,
Whose amative touch placates my fretting soul
Once more to anoint my eyes with slumber fumes.
On occasion when my sleep gets banished to uncouth terrain
The spooky dismal night intimidates me with uncanny fear,
I dread my unfortified state of solitude
And crave to be grappled by mushy enclosure of someone nearby.
