My Wish
My Wish
I wish I were a silvery fish, twirling friskily, without care,
I wish I were a golden leaf, pirouetting daintily in the air,
I wish I were a butterfly, dancing gaily in the breeze,
I wish I were a tiny bird, nestled in the swaying trees.
I wish I were a fluffy cloud, moodily floating in the sky.
I wish I were a gleaming moon, peeping shyly from on high.
But If I could be in my mother’s arms, is my foremost wish;
No satisfaction is more intense, no joy greater than this!
