Atonement

Atonement

Today, I think how could I play truant to you,

how could I philander?

Oh! The Basil tree,

I don't deserve you any more,

I don't deserve you any more.

If ever, you can allow me to redeem,

I will never hoodwink you.

If ever, you can allow me to atone

for my misdeed,

I will never flinch.

Yes, if ever can think I am eligible

for the condign punishment,

just queen over me,

just order me,

I will genuflect to you.

Killing myself will be a mere punishment,

I want stern action from your end,

I want stern action from your end

for atonement to certain extent.
