My Sleep
My Sleep
My eyelids mourn the loss
My body feels the absence,
Come at once, I request
Let not my thoughts break free.
I let my sleep wander fearlessly,
Rejoicing existing in my imagination
It breathes, lives and runs around the world
Staying up late; refusing to come to me.
I close my eyes
And see what my sleep offers me to show
My thoughts crop up,
Whispers of silent mind I hear,
My sleep fools my eyes,
Tricks my heart
And deceives my mind.
It wants to explore the world,
Of how the world would seem if she was awake,
She roamed everywhere in disguise,
Made the world believe,
Death was her grave.
It does everything but refuses to show,
I shall sleep when my sleep feels sleepy,
Follow the tune of my desire to sleep,
Embrace my soul again,
Stay with me at night,
Because the sun will be on its way.
With the silence, the sobs
In between the days
My sleep has slipped
And it lost its way.
