The Miserable Soul

My heart aches in misery 

And there is no story

left to be told 

Every day I lose fragments of my memory 

Forgetting makes me bold Isolation calms others 

For me, it makes me hear my screaming voice

Memories broke my wings to tiny feathers

All that is left within me is the noise.

My eyes are heavy but without tears

I have no strength to break down 

These moments feel like years 

When my soul feels too burdened to mourn.
