My Princess

It happened a few months before,

When you came into me,

Ah! That feeling I still remember,

Was almost like butterflies in my stomach.

Though now I must tell you,

That the journey I had to take was like a roller coaster ride.

Initially you gave me sleepless nights and days filled with nausea..

But, my happiness and love was much greater than every hurdle i had to face.

My love for you had grown so wide,

You gave me strength

to fight all odds.

But, let me tell you

I had to sacrifice all my chocolates and snacks

Because from inside you warned me to take healthy stuffs and supplements.

Gradually you were growing and forming,

And so, I couldn't put on my favourite dresses.

I eagerly waited for those sonography sessions,

As I could get the loveliest sights of you,

But I wanted the due time to get over soon,

So that I could hold you in my arms and  see you with my eyes.

Days passed by,

I could feel you move,

I know you wanted to come out,

But for the time being I had to protect you from all the eyes of the world.

You were everybody's favourite much ahead.

You were your Daddy's angel,

We loved you already.

and with every passing day we were waiting for you.

And then one day,

You struck hard and gave an alarm,

this was the moment of your arrival.

But this wasn't going to be easy,

this was a test of love for me,

and a challenge to my endurances.

And I won over because my love was greater...

And finally god blessed me with the greatest gift.

My princess was born,

your tiny hands and toes gave me the loveliest sights,

so tender and heavenly.

Nobody in the world was ever so beautiful than you.

I got a better version of myself in you.

And i cannot explain that feeling to you.

This was my greatest blessing!
