My Parents My Lifeline

The prime source of happiness,

Accountable for my success.

Right there when I need them,

Entertain me when I'm low,

Never doubt my worth,

Turn my weakness into strengths.

I stand today with pride and honor,

My parents taught me life's every genre.

I always wonder what makes me so strong,

Then I remember they are with me all along.

I face times dull and low,

But they know how to make my face glow.

They scold me many times.

But my mind goes back to the charming rhymes,

They sang for me every once in a while

It would make my heart go happy every single time.

I cannot imagine a day without them,

They have always treated me like their gem.

They made me strong and gave me all the strength,

They possess qualities that I will always lack.

To love others before yourself,

Is what they have made me practice.

I wish to do something for them in return,

But whatever I do will never be even half worth their share.
