Shades of Pandemic

It was before everything needed to be cleaned

It was before we wore masks before we leaned 

Roaming places freely was never a burden

When eating street food was never certain

Going to parties we got so excited

In places so crowded, we always felt lighted

Travelling places was on top of the bucket list 

Until we knew there's a virus that exists

That locked us for months at a place

Unaware of what's about to happen next

We waited for days to get things back on track

Until at home we made yummy snacks

It was a golden period if we see it now

To be at home for so long is something we never allow

We got to live the good days one more time

Time was difficult but it was better not to whine

Because it made us bond with our passion again

Which we left behind we didn't even know when

But months passed and things stayed the same

Locked up at our home made us go insane

Gradually things started getting on track once again

Slowly and gradually, but calm we remained

With our hopes high and masks on

We stepped out fearing it's still not gone

But life had to mend its ways somehow

And we are doing fine by now

Things may never be the same like they used to be

But they will get better eventually.
