The Nirbhaya in Me!
The Nirbhaya in Me!
I had a nightmare last night,
It gave me a ride
And took me far, beyond a decade
To meet a seven-year old.
A dim room it was,
And she was there
Trapped with darkness on top of her!
Her body hustling, and eyes doing its best.
Even her soul sympathized
With that little body
It flew afar,
Wasn’t enough to get past it.
I just stood there,
Watched all that happen.
It felt so real
And yet too hard to believe!
With her parents in the next room,
Who forget their part.
I rushed to them,
Tried to wake them up
But my screams weren’t just enough.
Maybe she could fight back
And yet she didn’t.
The little one never had
The knowledge of good and bad.
All of a sudden,
The house started trembling
And everything turned to sand.
The girl, the darkness,
All of them disappeared into nothingness.
My eyes opened,
With horror in them
And another night ended
But my dreams showed me something
Which won’t end in ages..
