Musings Of A Mother

With every breath I take

You move in the serene lake

Gasping to reach ashore

Compel me to reassure

I shall not let you drown

Only making you fit for the crown

You jump in my joy

Making me so very coy

With your tender limbs touching me

I eagerly wait for thee

You make me so anxious

Even in my subconscious 

With every moment approaching

Your life I start encroaching

Finally, you breach the wall

With delight to reach us all

Like the rising sun you cast your spell

Here you come off the well

Writhing pain disappears

As your bright face appears

Your luminescence lights me up

My heart says ‘never give up’

The gain in pain

Makes me shine like divine.
