Sinking in the horizon 

Thinking of the job done

Sun descends with a smile

Which spreads across a mile


Cheering us with its warmth 

Scaring us with its wrath

Duty, it does with sincerity 

Lasting till eternity


Earth in gratitude, embraces solitude 

Turns to its plight 

Rests it for the night 

Longs for its might

Yet, sleeps in delight.
