I’ve waited so long,

For the pain to subdue,

But nothing worked.

I wanted to experience love again,

But it was never an option,

My heart aches for you,

No one can replace your place.

I wanted everything simple,

But nothing went smoothly,

Everything was a mirage.

You were nothing but a traitor,

You played with my emotions.

Sure, I can’t forgive you,

But you made sure I never forget you.

Our love was so deep,

At least I thought so.

Your departure had made it tough,

For me to move on from you.

All your memories have made it hard,

I just can’t let the past go,

My heart is burning in the flames,

Trust has long forsaken me.

Our memories never left,

Some haunted me, hurt me,

While some tried to heal me,

But every move was in vain.

All our memories were destroying me,

I tried not to think,

But silence was a killer too,

It reminded me of you.
