Melody

I heard you sing that day,

Seeing me, you ran away,

I saw you for the first time,

Hearing those words rhyme,

One more time,

I wanted to hear your voice,

Amidst all this noise!!

You sang Floyd,

"Goodbye to the blue sky",

And I kept on looking,

"Poles apart",

"Lost for words",

And as Floyd once said,

I was "Learning to fly"!

We met at the fort,

You had your guitar,

And I had a few notes,

You hummed those words,

"I am sorry for letting you down my love",

Oh! I love that melody,

To someone, from nobody,

I think I got a friend,

"But all good things must come to an end",

That struck me like never before,

She was my music,

And I wasn't alone anymore!

I gave her all I had,

She gave me all I wanted,

Music, love, those words within me,

Creating new memories,

She strums, as we sit by the sea,

And I pen the notes,

"Let's make life wonderful,

As we walk down these broken roads!"
