Me As Emotions
Me As Emotions
I like to think that I am sadness in human form
My aim is to make despair and melancholy the norm
You'll find me in the cuts I've made on your arms
And all the thoughts that plague you about death and self harm
But sometimes I like to think that I am happiness too
And you'll find my rainbow shades as you peel away the outer layer of blue
And in the simple pleasures of life, all of the little things
In your tattoos, in your food, in every word you write and in every song you sing
And at other times I take the form of red hot anger, rage that roars
Sometimes then I can cook up storms and make it rain down and pour
I will make you forget what's important and what really matters
And fill you with so much destructive power than everything around you will slowly shatter
When I take the form of fear I can leave you trembling and shaky
You'll find me in your brittle bones and Lovers who seem flaky
I will chill you to your very core and keep you shivering silently
I might even make you antsy enough do something to yourself or someone else, maybe even violently
As I take the form of surprise, you will be having new and unique experiences
This may be one of the few forms I take every everything need not be serious
You'll find me in birthday parties, kind gestures and acts of sacrifice
And sometimes also in random acts of bitterness and words that may not be nice
Finally when I am disgust you might feel a strong desire to retch
You might find me in blood, gore and violence, and to some people, even in sex
But every emotion is unique and divides itself into several sub categories
They're not always easy to decipher, whether ours or other people's, and often remain complex as allegories
