Loving a Girl
Loving a Girl
The deepness of the brown in her eyes,
See flecks of green and gold,
Large, bright and sharp.
Lined with dark kohl.
Long, ebony mane floats behind,
Silky, smooth and strong.
Tuck the stray behind her ear,
Where they belong.
Pretty pink lips,
Sometimes chapped and dry,
But the words they speak
Oh, they are so wry.
Sharp jaw, high cheekbones,
Blue bruise against the latter
Run a finger across them,
Hope, in time, they get better.
Strong arms, wiry muscles,
Wrapped around the waist
Kiss those chapped lips
Let's get a taste.
Run fingers through the hair
Void black spread far
Press a kiss on the bruise
Love her no longer from afar
I look her in a way no one does,
I look her like she is the sun
Sometimes too bright, I must look away
She glows and shines, gold spun
Love does that to you
Makes it all fairytales
But nurture it close to your heart
What if it stales
But it doesn't concern me now,
At least in this moment
She is my love, my joy
But also my torment
