Trick Him Purple

Trick Him Purple

The body was cold, blue and dead,

Limbs spread apart, hair spread out.

Eyes glassy, lifeless, dim,

Rumours and stories out and about.

The detective spent all day,

And all night; who could be the killer?

The Sister? The Friend? Or the colleague?

Who put the victim’s heart in the chiller.

Lights out, old threats, old desolate land,

But now the main question is Why?

Why kill a teen, young and free,

Mystery unsolved, why did she die?

Days wore on, weary and tired,

He just went around in circles.

Adding the File to the unsolved pile,

The killer managed to trick him purple.
