Lover's Malady
Lover's Malady

Oh love, hasn't it been some time,
A long, fruitless while
Since the last time we met
Beneath those humble bouganvillaeas
That rained their pretty pinks,
Upon your blossoming cheeks?
Envy I those rays of sun,
That grasp themselves upon your
Noble brow.
Lighting your mein in
Their tender love,
As my eyes had once done
When they first met your gaze
– Like two droplets of molten gold.
My hands tremble in upholding anticipation;
Just a smell of your honeyed locks
That arouse my deepest senses,
But its the winds that get to behold,
This ever tantalizing whiff,
Which outfawns even the aromas
Of the divine nector
–Like you, being my essense of life.
Reaching out to get hold,
Of this sliver of divine delicacy,
In form of your delicate skin
In those sculpted hands
And those worshipped feet,
That have captured my entire being
In their hypnotizing insouciance
–Like the fragilest fabric that binds my fate.
Even your soul attracts my heart,
With its enamouring traits–
Mesmerizing, like a blessing
A boon given in the name of love.
Your mind, your heart, they
Shine in purity– like a magnet
Attracting with its sensual seams
–Like a shining stone in the eyes of the beholder.
Oh love, hasn't it been a while
Since those walks on the shores
Of the beach that in its very grains
Our haunts carved in letters of bliss?
Now those dancing waves of froth,
Rage on over those empty banks
Sweeping away with it
The sands of our eternal moments,
From its glistening rocks...
