Did you hear my heart beating?

Drip drip drip.

That is the sound of blood pouring out of it.



Rip rip rip.

My dress, the blue one you loved so much,

Swish swish swish.

That is the sound of those rags falling off.


Tap thuk tap.

Your footsteps, as they come closer and closer,

Silence.

That is the sound of my soul accepting defeat.
