Oh, how I wish that my childhood
Would not have left me so soon.
It seems such long time since,
Our last frolics in the pond–
Me, she and they,
All came together
No cares about the world;
We were enough for all.
Turning a blind ear to the wind
Which carried the shouts of our mothers,
Calling us home to rest for the day.
It was our joyful screams that echoed
When we flicked cold water on our naked bodies.
When I remember my childhood,
Those screams echo still .
