Love Is A Fine Wine

Love Is A Fine Wine

Dear Sunshine,

You came into my life like the definition of love. When the sun kissed the sea, I saw you walk into the shop of wine with a smile like sunshine.

You held the glass of wine like it was drunk on your smile. Sipping in the wine, a sigh escaped your lips. Like all you need was a glass of wine. Those light pink lips curled into a smile.

I wish I could get drunk on you, on your lips. Those lips had a drug which no other wine could have.

When you noticed me, you stood up and left with a glance towards me. My heart followed in your footsteps, breathing in your lavender scent.

After a mile of walking, you turned around challenging the sunrise. Those wine-dipped lips curled into a smile. I wish I could write a poem about my sunshine.

We sat at the shore, the sound of waves bringing me back to life every time I drowned in those wine lips.

Your honey eyes read mine and got closer, your breath hitting my face. But I was too shy. You smiled and pressed your lips onto mine.

Those lips tasted like wine, bitter yet divine. I felt myself drowning in the pool of wine. I realised Love is like a fine wine.

I came back to the scene in front of me. She was gone. But the wine lips had left their trace on the glass.

I realised I was just a fool who was obsessed with wine.
