Drama Romance

Just another day...

Just another day...

2 mins
403

Just another day

I met a girl

Her heart was like a diamond

With a hint of pearl

That's when it occurred to me

That bright sunny morning

My heart was all over her

But my head gave a warning

Same class, she was in

As was mine

I would take a break to stretch

Just to see her shine

That's when it occurred to me

She could be mine

I even imagined a date

With roses and red wine

She did nothing but embraced

The idea of falling in love

And when she hugged me that day

I nicknamed her my dove

We started meeting every day

Whether rain or snow

She occupied a piece of me

No matter where I go

Her smile was of an angel's

And my life couldn't be sweeter

I even planned to debate on love

Whether in person or on Twitter!

And one fateful day

It wasn't thunder or the snow

She asked me to give my heart

Don't know why I said no

Since that day it has never been the same

Still, we meet and greet

But it seems our hearts don't match

They are missing that important feat

How badly I wanted to say yes

Inside it seems I am dead

Why can't they go together

My heart and my head

As days passed I got agitated

And I told her how I feel

She held my hand, smiled, and said

"I know dear that time heals"

So now I would like to tell her

Let by gones be by gones

I will be there for you dear

Whether dusk or dawn

Just like that happily

Our days will pass

You may be somewhere else

But the connection will always last

You asked me for a gift

Which you could see every day

I hope this piece you like

And gives you an excuse to stay
