FULL OF WORDS

FULL OF WORDS

My mind is full of words

Some, I want to heap and sweep away

Some I want to keep, others make me weep

There are those I wish were real; into which

I would breathe life if I could; if or when they remain

They so as images: ill-defined, wavering images

Challenging me, “come on big boy, do your best”

My best is and was never enough. You could say

My mind is fuzzy. You wouldn’t be wrong

Words find context, thus meaning, with - and in association

With other words; do they not? Human beings find context

And this meaning in association, and community, with others

It is in the activity of communicating, we find evidence of this

Is this not true? For citizens of the cosmos; for me, for you?

My mind is full of people

Some, I want to heap and sweep away

Some I want to keep, others make me weep

There are those I wish were real; into which

I would breathe life if I could
