Lost In The Crowd
Lost In The Crowd
When I was in third
With my mother and brother
I went into an extraordinary place,
Crowded with people and stalls,
There was a lot of sound and crackling
In front in back
In right in left
Some music from where
I don't know
Was a crowd
More than hundred
I was pushed and pulled
A small kid of eight
With many big adults around
Above eighteen
Masculine nature
Brutal eyes and murdering strengths
I was creeping through the way...
I tiptoed on my guts;
Was not able
To stop my wet eyes
From melting with furrow
I went in every stall every nook and corner
Of the empty vessel
With my eyes smudged in tears...Mom..!
I receded to the stall
From where I was lost
Without recognizing what was there on the board
And my tears fell into my smiling mouth and abandoned teeth
I saw my mother and brother
I hugged my mother
And recited a fable not understood by many,
That was the day
That was the day
When I was terrorized
The most at the book fair
And my survival was on the tip of the needle which I now pierce.
