Little Girl Envies A Pet Dog
Little Girl Envies A Pet Dog
She envies that pink apron,
With small white roses on them,
For her's is the one donated,
By the church on a charity drive.
She envies that filled bowl,
Which lies uneaten all day long,
Yet, kept filled, while her plate,
Does not feed her even once.
She envies that comfy sit, and
Tissues to pick poop up, While
She shares the tiny toilet seat
With thirteen of her co-sisters.
I want to tell her, envy is bad to nurture, But how do
I say so, when what she envies is just a pet pup.
