Life.. A Race

No peace, no place to rest,

Looks as if everyone has been put to test.

We keep working for what we want,

Still an unknown fear, is what haunts.

Life has turned into a blind race,

Everyone just wants to match other's pace.

There is hunger, there is greed,

Each day we run to fulfil our needs.

No time to think, no time to realize,

For all this around, we pay such a heavy price.

We set our goals, we run after those,

But I wonder, why it’s materialism that everyone chose.

You show people things, you show them money,

Comes a big smile, which seems real funny.

Relations have become a burden for most,

Need looks to have become our soul's host.

To lessen man's sins, God once suffered pain,

Now he must be wondering, did it go in vain.

One after the other, we follow this madness,

No doubt our quest to happiness brings us sadness.

Oh stop, to run you step over other's heart,

You live for money, and with people you part.

Give it a thought before it is really late,

Because only few things in life, are worth the wait.
