Let Down
Let Down
You’re disappointed, or they’re disappointed,
Doesn’t really matter.
You promised the person, or the person promised you,
Doesn’t really matter.
You expected out of them, or they expected out of you,
Doesn’t really matter.
You were gloomy, or they were gloomy,
Doesn’t really matter.
But why any disappointments? Why any promises?
That does matter.
Why any expectations? Why any glooms?
That does matter.
It’s your life, Or it’s their life,
It does matter.
You have to live, They have to live,
That does matter.
You survive how you want to,
They’ll survive how they want.
But in the end, all that matters,
Is that you’re happy, and they’re happy.
So no disappointments, no promises,
No expectations, no glooms.
