Lessons from The Sun

The dawn, when it broke today,

Its scene filled my heart with gay, 

The twilight was cleared apart, 

The sunrays emerged as sharp as a dart. 

 

The sun was rising in my heart, 

Tearing down the sadness apart. 

The sunshine pierced in through the room, 

Causing my smiles to bloom. 

 

A new life entered my soul, 

Persisting me to achieve my goal,

Hurdles will resist, it was certain, 

But defeating them was of much concern. 

 

Along with the sun, my soul took a rebirth, 

It did and continued to do so since the day I landed on earth, 

My life each day was blended with essence, 

Although tears and sufferings had framed their presence. 

 

I began each day with vigor and smiles,

'Cause I had to carry it down for miles,

My heart was uplifted with happiness,

But sadness and pain were also no less. 

 

My heart started beating fast, 

The fear of failure had taken its cast.

Keeping my fingers crossed, 

Towards my goal, I rushed. 

 

The sun was burning hot, 

Putting me to raise my thought, 

Success was not far apart, 

To touch it, I raced like a rat. 

 

I learned a lesson that day, 

Which I would never resist to say, 

"If I want to shine like the sun, 

I have to first burn like the sun."
