Huddle together for comfort and courage,

To belie unknown fears.

In those trying moments,

The people closest to your heart,

Simply drift apart.

No footsteps approaching near.

Complete silence and no expectations.

Wait ...Somebody there?

Nobody. 

Just your own heartbeats.
