Green Dots
Green Dots
Just yesterday
I happened to notice
In my backyard,
Two dots of green
On a discarded
Broken plate
With some mud
Clinging to it still.
Curious to know
What those dots were,
I bent down to see.
Two tiny green leaves
Had sprouted in mud.
Strange how things
Grow with determination
Anywhere and everywhere
With a strong will and skill.
Whenever I look at the green
In my country's flag,
I remember always the dots
That made a point.
Green is for growth and grit.
If you are sure you can do it.
