Sifting through the books

My hopes were on the hooks

Those efforts of mine

For making a career in a while

While I’s busy with the studies

 They always chased off my worries

To build the path of my success

They unmapped many of their access

Journal, book, paper and pen

All needs material now and then

But most of all I wanted

To ward off failures that haunted

They stood by me for me to win

Through every thick and thin

At times fancy and some whim

I sang to them songs of my dream

My eyes were filled so wet

When the result was in and all was set

They had no words

With their fingers crossed

For all I got as ranks

But can’t be hidden just by thanks

That precious moment thus captured

And that’s just what I gathered 

Their priceless blessings

An ocean full of feelings

A finger helped tow me always

My hand will hold their shaking ways

They saw me through my vision

Their eyes now blurred for a reason

All my worries to take care of

They never winked or took slumber off

Now, I pledge to sail all along

Their wrinkles shall never be alone
