Imperfect
Imperfect
Perfect picture of you and me,
Hanging by the gray wall.
Taken four years back,
How much it means tonight?
Falling snow covers the rooftop,
Where we laid counting stars.
Lost in each other for entire night,
Promising to stick together for lifetime.
The lights are dim to shade the corners,
Veiling the scars that unnerve my soul.
The bond you once forged so tight,
Has left a shivering aura down my spine.
Little did I knew the fragment of your lies,
For I mistook your deceitful words as praises.
You made a fool of my generosity,
While I promised to walk with you till eternity.
Every weakness of yours, I considered a fear,
I tried to protect but you carved your own path.
You remained selfish till the end,
And pushed me to the edge to fall at once.
The diamond that fell on the ground,
Spoke your truth from years around.
You didn't care to stop for once,
Walked over the flowers and destroyed my heart.
Till this day I am sipping the rage,
Not on you but my inner self.
You broke my trust to pieces,
What will I do if I fail to assemble them ever again?
