I Slept And Dreamt

I slept and dreamt that

I was not in my home ;

Before me , I beheld

Lumps of soil coloured red !

I was in a unique land ,

Full of many trees and flowers !

It was not a mere garden .

It certainly had special powers !

Green lotuses on the pond ,

Black roses in the shrubs ,

Yellow tulips and brown lilies 

Filled the garden with their buds !

Never did I see such a land ,

Nor did I see such unique flowers ,

Neither did I see such a strand ,

Showering such beautiful showers !

Suddenly I opened my eyes —

I was again in my bed !

By the time , I woke up 

The sun had already set .
