I Sit And Ponder

I sit and ponder, what about me?

The blazing sun, the soothing moon,

The flowers, the oceans, the trees.

Each has the purpose of guiding us,

Each has a purpose to be.

I sit and ponder, what about me?

For Socrates and Newton had a role to play in History,

So did Shakespeare, Keats, and Dostoevsky.

I sit and ponder, what about me?

Waking up, sipping tea, jogging, working,

Getting back home and curling up in bed to sleep. Repeat.
