I Never Tried

I Never Tried

1 min

I never tried,

Yes, I had never challenged myself

For the things I always wanted,

I never begged for them, either

What I did then?

I just let them go, I waved my hand and bid goodbye to my dreams and

I had always pretended that

I really didn't want those things.

By doing so,

I somehow managed my outside,

But inside, I was screaming, audible only to my ears

I tied my hands with the rope of fear.

I refused to taste

the victory, as I knew the taste of failure is bitter.

I never dared to climb, because I knew claps are motivating,

But if I'll fall, taunts will gonna hurt more than rocks.

My past was the ocean of opportunities and

I was the swimmer,

I had the eyes that could see the pearl beneath,

I stood at the shore for many years but couldn't gather the courage to dive in.

Since childhood we learn to crawl, to walk, to run but now I'm learning how to 'stand'.
