I Am Important

I am too essential

For my family

Without me, they

Cannot live happily

They love me a lot

I love them too

They worry for me

Even when I am thirty two

It feels so good

To be so important

I wonder what would happen

If I were not present

They all would live

Or would have to live

Their eyes would be empty

Souls would have nothing to give

My mother's face would be

As lifeless as me

My father would cry

Only when no one is seeing

My husband would make

Office his home

Without me, he would

Be all alone

Yet they would all survive

For my son's sake

They would appear happy

With a smile that is fake

Do I really want to

Be so important?

Would it make me happy

To leave them so orphan?

If not, then why not

Give them a reason!!

A cause, that they can

Make their own mission!!
