Have you watched a dream at night?

All alone, no one in sight!

Or read a book that you can’t put down

Or a movie with a proper noun

It might make you yelp in fear

Or one that makes your eyes tear

It might keep you awake at night

Maybe in nostalgia or in fright

It might make you feel lonely

Because it is fun or too homely

It might be what you always wanted to see

But now it doesn't interest you really

Whatever it is that you have felt

Fear, love, disgust, joy, or contempt

The morning after is the best of all

High tides have passed but the waves still fall
