How Passionate Are We

In my mind this question twinkles:

How passionate are we, 

The People of India, 

About our rights? 

If the People of India have no much passion?

When the People gave to themselves the Constitution,

They asserted their passion for justice, liberty, equality and fraternity,

Seven decades elapsed,

Citizens’ rights have been violated millions of times,

The new one is not concerned about ideals,

Are not they concerned about health, education, jobs, food and housing?

In the name of protection of fake and unreal world,

During colonial times, people were slaves of the British,

They were the ancestors of our rural poor, tribals and Dalits,

After Independence, they have become subjects as citizens,

Some few are owners of the most 

Of the properties,

The middle class enjoys rights. 

Is it not true that

The rest live under false promises.
