Hours Of The Year

 On Halloween, the trick or treats 

The scares we cannot handle 

Thanksgiving, the buzz on the streets 

To reunite and light the candles 

Christmas, the crowd in the shops 

The eve, an inpatient time 

End of the year, the parties on the rooftops 

And the glasses of champagne and wine 

To make Ourselves free 

of the busy life

A give and not take 

A selfless time 

To be with our dears 

Laugh and no tears 

And together let go of our fears 

In these hours of the year
