Hello old man! How do you see the world?

Is it the same place you grew up in;

Is it the same tree that held your swing;

And nested your favorite cuckoo;

Are you happy to see this new world;

That is so different from your old world?

Well! I guess you are not happy.

You seem to be hurt and disappointed,

By the lost values of mankind;

The old age homes are a new phenomenon,

You never imagined them even in your wildest dreams;

You never knew the nuances of so advanced a technology,

That brought people closer virtually,

And threw them miles apart even in the same room.

Old man, do you often talk of your times?

How you lived your childhood and dreams that you had;

Do you often find faults in the new age gadgets and inventions?

Are you that old man who still lives in the old world;

And refuses to take just one step to bridge the gap in generations?

The young man urges you to move on,

And enjoy a life that new technology offers.

Forget what was right and wrong in your world,

Guide the new generation with your rich experiences,

Teach them the values of respect and love,

Care and empathy to make this world a better place.

C'mon! Get ready to be a new-age man,

And flow with the winds of change,

While still retaining the good old values,

Without preaching what was right then,

And what is wrong now

Help the young get rid of old age homes

And make their homes happy homes!
