The Journey Continues...

There was trust and faith

There was concern and care

The path was interspersed with lot of funny moments

And some naughty anecdotes peeped from here and there

The path was meant to end when our hair turns grey

It is a nostalgia I want to live every now and then

The path has twisted abruptly

I woke up today to a new life

I am all alone…can see you far ahead

You probably walked through the night

While I was dreaming of our childhood

And didn’t realize the sound of you leaving

How heartbroken I was

You had left a void

It took me sometime to gather myself

But I am all smiles now

Life is a journey, not a race

You chose your speed, I chose mine

Today I make a new beginning, all by myself

I will have my moments of laughter and fun

There will be trust and faith

Care and concern too shall come along

The void you left may still be there

But I will have my winning moment

Maybe a little later, but for sure

You were my guide for all things, big and small

My lessons shall now be my guide

More friends shall give me company

Your absence shall be my inspiration

Moments of togetherness shall be dreams

The journey shall go on…and on …and on!
