Hands That Cannot Reach🖤💔
Hands That Cannot Reach🖤💔
I feel the tremor in their chest,
the quiet ache they try to hide.
Their sorrow spills, I take the rest,
yet mee can only stand beside.
I want to help, to break their chain,
to lift the weight they cannot bear.
But guilt wraps tight around my vein,
and freezes every offered care.
I don't know the reason why,
this silence holds me, keeps me still.
I watch their tears, I hear their cry,
but cannot bend the world to will.
It hurts to feel what they have felt,
to carry storms that are not mine.
A witness bound, a heart that knelt,
yet never crossed the fragile line.
Like the sun can see the wilted leaf,
its golden hands too far to mend.
The clouds can feel the garden’s grief,
yet only weep, then break, then end.
The ocean feels each broken wave,
the tide that aches to reach the shore.
It wants to help, to heal, to save,
but guilt locks deep its endless core.
BUT AT LEAST ONCE I'LLNOT HESTITATE
TO HOLD THE HAND!
